UN Can’t Even Enforce No-Smoking Policy <—ha ha ha.

Supposedly the UN is around to insure liberty and peace.  How is forcing everyone who works/visits the UN to quit smoking insuring liberty?  The funny (and kind of sad) part is that they can’t even enforce their policies amongst the people that work for them, how can they insure liberty for the rest of the world?

I’m drawing motivation (and a sadistic enjoyment) from watching them fail at something so simple, please enjoy!

Up In The Morning And Out Of The Rack

Back from NTC where we kicked the living crap out of our ranges, and my squad proved that we are in fact the best squad in the entire battalion (we even got an AAM to prove it).

So now that we’re back, we’ll be really kicking it into high gear regarding our training.  Most of us expected this, I was mentally prepared to be overseas before the end of this year; my task now lies in insuring that my soldiers are fully prepared and that my wife is completely prepared for 12 months of me being in a foreign land.

All in all I foresee this deployment going smoothly, violence is down in Iraq, I’m a veteran, and I have an outstanding platoon who I can depend on.  I can’t even say that the fear I had prior to last deployment is there, I kind of have a “been there done that” attitude.  Not that I won’t take this seriously but, I’ll face it with a clearer mind and with eyes wide open.
