The Fallen Honored

Several hundred soldiers and guests gathered at Fort Lewis Thursday to dedicate Memorial Park, 4.2 acres of the Army post set aside to honor soldiers who have died since 9/11.

The park now has two memorials honoring soldiers from two Stryker Brigades.

The 1st (Stryker) Brigade, 25th Infantry Division that deployed to Iraq lost 44 men, and has moved its memorial from the Fort Lewis Museum to the new park.

I’m glad that my fallen brothers have finally recieved their memorial.  It’s a beautiful and solemn place for me.

So, most of us know the story about the Cambridge Police Sergeant who arrested a black Harvard Professor, and has since been accused of “racial profiling” and even called “Stupid” by the Commander in Chief.  Wow.  I bet if this guy wasn’t a “friend” of Obama’s he wouldn’t of said anything, bringing in the new right Mr. President?  Yea, the NEW nepotism, the NEW bad ideas, the NEW disdain for caring for the military.  Makes me sick.
